winter-olympics-skeleton-4479As today is the opening of the Winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia, we have chosen ‘skeleton’, one of the sports at this year’s games, as our Term of the Week. However, the 22nd Winter Olympics have been dogged by controversy and many have used it as an opportunity to criticise new Russian laws against “homosexual propaganda”. For more about this issue see this article.
