Video of the week: DG Interpretation and Conferences – Preparing the Future

1827

Interpreters at the European Parliament work in many different kinds of meetings and can find themselves working for their Prime Minister one day, for a group of schoolchildren the next.

In the EP, interpreters work for political groups, for specialised committees, for TV debates and cover an unending range of subjects! In addition to that, the EP interpreters travel all over the world, accompanying delegations to overseas conferences, on visits to other parliaments and on election observation missions, working with all forms of interpreting (simultaneous, consecutive and whispering).
