Are you a medical/pharmaceutical translator? If so, then you shouldn´t miss the most important event in the medical translation industry, the MedTranslate Conference 2014, organised by Alexandria Project , a translation agency based in Germany which focuses on medical/pharmaceutical translations.
This event will be held on 3-5 October 2014 in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). This international conference for medical and pharma translation professionals covers a vast variety of topics. Let´s have a look at a few interesting ones that well-known speakers will discuss: Konstantinos Stardelis will present the medical translation market regarding the prices; the subject of writing and translating medical information material for the general public – i.e., how to adapt your discourse according to different types of public will be explained by Alexandra Martelli; for those who want to be interpreters, Karolina Kalisz will explain what it takes nowadays to be a medical interpreter; or if you are interested in the EMA (European Medicines Agency) Templates and Terminology, Emma Goldsmith will discuss that most medical documents (e.g. leaflets or summaries of product characteristics) require specific templates, and, of course, a controlled terminology to ensure consistency across different medicinal products in all Member States.
