On the 27th September, the Terminology Coordination Unit attended a seminar, organised by the School of Translation “Metafrasis” at the National Research Centre in Athens, to celebrate the International Day of Translation 2014.
In front of the big audience of translation professionals who had gathered for the seminar, Rodolfo Maslias, Head of the Terminology Coordination Unit, gave a presentation about terminology management in the European Parliament and other European Institutions. He focused on the challenges of communication and explained how our Unit cooperates with prominent academic and industrial actors in the field of Terminology. This presentation (in Greek) also covered the terminology projects for IATE organised with translation and interpretation students from various Universities throughout Europe as well as all the possibilities of interaction with TermCoord through this website and the social media, by publishing theses on terminology, sending posts to publish on our blog section, contributing to the page of our neologisms’ collection or directly to IATE in response to the “IATE term of the week” posts.
