ECHA-Term Chemical Terminology

The ECHA is the main responsible for the chemicals legislation implemented in the EU. It establishes rules and guidelines to companies and insures that all the legislation and all the safety use of chemicals are followed. This driven force works to benefit human health and the environment as well as for innovation and competitiveness. For this reason, they took a step further. ECHA-Term, Multilingual Chemical Terminology,  is a database with a total of 1,200 multilingual entries are now available in 23 EU languages, plus the main REACH terms in Croatian. It was conceived as a dynamic database that is updated by the experts in the field and linguistics.

ECHA-term contains terminology from:

  • REACH Regulation
  • CLP Regulation (terms, hazard and precautionary statements)
  • ECHA Guidance documents (terms and descriptors)
  • GHS hazard pictograms
  • Substances of Very High Concern
  • Biocidal Products Regulation
