People from different countries and cultures shared their gastronomy and traditions in a very successful multicultural event, the Babel Party 2015, that was organised by the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Parliament.
As every year, colleagues from the different units of the Direcotorate General for Translation (DG TRAD) had an opportunity to get to know each other better and participate in a multicultural and gastronomic exchange. The success of this Babel Party was possibly thanks to the joint involvement of all the participants, who gave their best preparing everything for the party and offering the most popular food and drinks from their countries. Each unit made an effort to contribute with interesting gastronomic proposals. People could taste traditional dishes from more than twenty different stands, which were decorated with the national flags or the logo of the unit.
TermCoord, for its part, prepared some food and great cocktails with IATE (Inter Active Terminology for Europe)-related names: IATE on the beach, Bloody IATE, IATE Lagoon, PinacoIATE, MojiIATE, Termtonic… They were very popular among the guests of the party.
