ProZ.com, which is considered to be the world’s largest professional translator network, recently held its 2015 ProZ Virtual Conference. One of the many round tables focused on Glossary and Terminology Managament, and among the guest panelists there were the names of Barbara Inge Karsch, Jim Wardell, Michael Beijer and Mirko Plitt. The moderator of the discussion was Jeff Allen.
The ProZ Virtual Conference is an annual online event with some 10,000 registrations approximately. Often each panel session has several hundred participants in the online audience; the majority of them are freelance translators.
Professional translators use the website to collaborate on the translation of terms and dictionaries, translator training, contests and other events. They can also get some discounts on translation tools.
