Do we have to use social media? I would say, we do. And let me tell you why. First we are in 2016. I know it’s trendy to go off the grid, but we are social beings after all. So being present on at least one social media platform is a must for the time we live in.
Also, although someone could advocate against it, just because it can take a lot of your time, each platform has advantages and disadvantages. It is important to weigh them and see which social media platform suits you best. Also, with time, you will learn to use the platform in the way it was intended and the time spent there will be less and less.
Do I have to use social media if I am a translator? I would say, of course you do.
