The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a cult classic for everyone born after 1978, year of its publication. Born as a script for BBC Radio, it became a book, a movie and even a videogame. Some quotes from this masterpiece have become widely recognized catchphrases, especially for the “nerd” subculture (have you ever tried to search “answer to life, the universe and everything” on Google?).

Douglas Adams, the author of this book, managed – in this “trilogy in five parts” – to deal with complex issues with a biting wit and a light style. Under the apparent nonsense and a science fiction semblance, the book manages to give deep insights about, precisely, “life, universe and everything”.

On the 15th anniversary of the death of Douglas Adams, we would like to remember him showing you a scene from the ” Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ” movie, regarding the Babel Fish: a fish that, inserted in your ear, would make you able to understand any language in the world and, “removing all barriers to communication between different races and cultures, has caused more and bloodier wars than anything else in the history of creation”.
