How to say December in the countries around Europe

2303

December is the 12th and final month of the year in both the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It has 31 days and is usually associated with the Christmas holidays.

The term December comes from the latin word decem, meaning 10, as it was in fact the 10th month of the Roman calendar which began in March.

Many countries around Europe refer to this month in a similar way, but there are also European languages in which the word for December differs greatly from the English term.
