IATE term of the week: Culture Action Europe

1929

On 15th April we celebrated the International Day of Art, in honour of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci. If the painter is known worldwide for his famous Mona Lisa, this artist was probably one of the greatest lovers of art and culture of his time. Today, many organizations around the world are trying to preserve this love of artistic creation by developing various ways to preserve their country’s cultural heritage.

On this special day, we will talk about Culture Action Europe (CAE), Europe’s largest cultural network. This organisation is interested in everything related to artistic initiatives: communities of diverse artists, multiple artistic expressions (design, visual arts, literature, etc.) and is currently organising an election campaign to highlight the cultural dimension of the European Union and ensure that it can contribute to the good of Europe. If you would like to participate, you should simply follow the ToolKit on the CAE website. In addition to having the right to vote, you will have the opportunity to participate in an online discussion bringing together all the voters in Europe on 25th April. This will then allow committee members and culture activists to create events, discuss with politicians in the European Parliament, and many other things that can advance the cultural field.
