A handshake is a well-known and widely used tradition, with most people using their right hand to grip and shake the other person’s hand. Handshaking often symbolizes greeting, congratulations, agreement or farewell.
The act is especially famous in politics, where officials regularly get photographed or filmed while handshaking. Until recently, this tradition was not getting much attention as it was performed quite habitually, but in light of the latest developments connected to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), handshaking became strongly discouraged.

As something that has been around for such a long time, it tends to be hard for people to change handshaking habits quickly. Politicians included. This week’s Video-Fix covers some funny moments related to people still adapting to newest anti-handshaking inputs. If you are having a hard time adjusting, do not worry – we all are! Just keep doing your best to follow the Government‘s guidelines and help prevent further spreading of the virus.
