New-Website-LaunchLife at TermCoord is never boring. Everyday, all the energy and good vibes within the unit are converted into creating new ideas. And for all the trainees that have the opportunity to spend some time here, it’s also a good chance to let their ideas flow and, more importantly, to bring them to life.

One thing that resulted from this freedom of creativity is the TermCoord blog, which was initiated by the pioneers of the trainees.

Recently, my two communication fellow trainees and I had the chance to be involved in this venture. I have to confess: we were a really good team. That’s why when the idea of renovating TermCoord’s website came out, I knew that the three of us could really pull this off.

But let me explain how did this came about…

After a few weeks in the unit, I met Floriane… a French girl with an Irish spirit. We got along really well and after a few talks we arrived at the conclusion that it was time for the website to be updated. It’s been two years since the start of the website, and in IT, things change quickly; everything needs a new look! That’s where the other trainee, Nigel, comes in. We had a look at Nigel’s CV before he arrived; we knew we would need his help. How happy we were to see that he had a sound knowledge of IT!

We presented the idea to all TermCoord staff for approval. The time to start working had arrived. We did our research and talked a lot till the day we finally found a template which we believed would be a good new interface for our website.

With this new page we intended not only to follow the web trends but also to give you, our readers and followers, an easier and wider access to TermCoord’s work.

Our goal is always to provide a better and updated tool, and better (and more numerous) Terminology-related material. And of course, as always, to raise the awareness for this field. The more attractive this is, the better the quality of work.

The project is not finished of course; we hope to rely on your feedback on this. Because at the end of the day, this website is you.

We hope to have your support for our new look. As this this will be, always, your TermCoord!
