LOGO_stacked reversed_no-dateSince it was the International Day of People with Disabilities on Wednesday, we have chosen “discrimination on the basis of disability” as IATE Term of the Week.  In light of the upcoming European Parliament elections next year, the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union stresses the importance of breaking down the voting barriers for people with disabilities. Further information about the rights of persons with disabilities can be found on the website of the Fundamental Rights Agency and the rights of persons with disabilities are also stated in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the United Nations.
