First of all, a little bit of “history”: if you already know the English language, you should be aware that almost a third part of vocabulary and terms come from French, even though English has Germanic roots. That’s quite an easy start. Then the rules themselves. Taking classes, use narrative techniques to improve the use of verbs, don’t underestimate technology and the huge variety of dedicated applications; be regular while studying but don’t try to learn too much.
