On 23rd November, FIT Europe will be organising a free conference on ‘How can Intellectual Property legislation benefit translators’ for translators, which will be held at Huis van Europa, The Hague, The Netherlands.
The key issues that will be addressed include:
- How can translation output be protected
- How may lack of harmonization across the EU affect your IP rights?
- How can added value be leveraged
Speakers at the event include: Hugo Keizer (European Commission) Keven Quirk, Annette Schiller (FIT-Europe) as well as Heiki Pisuke, PhD Head of the Estonian Language Department at the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission and Evert van Gelderen, a lawyer specialising in intellectual property, and founding partner of Clairfort Lawyers & Mediators.
