Video-Fix Macao-portugalOver the last ten plus years, the European Commission have cooperated with the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) of Macao Special Administrative Region and Macao Polytechnic Institute to encourage international cooperation and interpretation in the Macao region. In this week’s Video-Fix, we will therefore show you what this cooperation entails and how the European Commission support trainee interpreters.

The Portuguese and Macanese connection dates back to the 16th century. Over the years, the Portuguese and Macanese people have lived together in this multicultural city, Macao. They have learned from each other’s culture, religion and language. The European Commission is supporting this multiculturalism and are creating courses for interpreters to help further this cooperation.

If you want to take part in the course or just want to learn more, check out the links about the European Commission’s courses and their work with Macao Polytechnic Institute to read more on this cooperation.
