This VideoFix is dedicated to physical books. Old-fashioned, you think?

Chip Kidd, narrating this Ted video, will probably change your mind. Kidd is an American graphic designer, best recognized as graphic designer for book covers.

Nowadays, while most individuals choose audio and/or e-books when it comes to reading, Kidd offers you another approach to books. He reminds you of essential facts about books and what makes them so special, unique. He also wrote some DC comics as well as designed their covers. However, he downplays the significance of his covers, stating that the book cover plays a minor role when selling/buying a book. Instead, he claims that the content of the book is what truly makes its success.

Nonetheless, in this video, he clearly explains why books are here to stay. From the feeling of holding a book to the smell of it, by way of book covers, Kidd praises the existence of books. His presentation is very inspiring as convincing. Will you let yourself get carried away through this narrative?
