Emojis have emerged as a recognised field of study within linguistics. Slowly but surely, emojis are also invading the world of law, where emojis are increasingly used as court evidence in legal cases.

In this video-fix, we explore how exactly emojis function within the structure of language and our brains’ specific reactions to emojis.
