Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the School of International Interpreters, the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI-EII) of the University of Mons is delighted to invite you to its International Colloquium “Languages, Humanities and Translating: what lessons from the past to meet the challenges of the future?” to be held on 27 and 28 April 2023 at the University of Mons, Belgium.

Forty-six speakers from all over the world, as well as Christine Lombez (Nantes University), Anthony Pym (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) and Elisabet Tiselius (Stockholms Universitet), as guest lecturers, will aim to raise a number of fundamental questions for the future of the disciplines of Languages, Humanities and Translation Studies, while looking back at the achievements of the great theorists and practitioners who have gone before us.
