IATE goes AUDIO

IATE goes AUDIO is TermCoord's initiative to provide content accessible to a wider public. IATE goes AUDIO provides short audio clips in different languages explaining our IATE Terms of the Week in a clear and concise manner. The aim of this initiative is to further help clarify IATE terminology.

The audio clips are accessible through the desktop site.

In summer 2020, TermCoord collaborated with Pablo de Olavide University in Seville (Spain) to produce an interview series with young translators and interpreters. We wanted to give the next generation of language professionals an opportunity to voice their thoughts and experiences around language, culture, and translation. The 8 interviewees were supervised by Dr Olga Koreneva, specialised translator and interpreter and lecturer in the faculty of Translation and Interpreting in German at the Pablo de Olavide University.

You can read the research conclusion of the interviews analysis here
