Termbases provided by TermCoord

TermCoord provides targeted termbases (thematic and with defined terms) for important procedures and packages. The messages informing about the availability of such termbases appear on the FdRs.

Available termbases:

  1. Procedural (COD) termbases based on defined terms. Click here

Termbases provided for translators, interpreters, terminologists, lawyer-linguists working with SDL Studio (.sdltb) or other CAT Tools (.tbx)

Since CAT tools (SDL Studio or others) can handle several termbases in the same translation project, TermCoord has divided the terminological support material into two related termbases:

  • Defined terms – a termbase that contains only the defined terms and their definitions extracted directly from COM proposal(s) and related legal acts in force in the domain in the 24 EU official languages (in .sdltb and .tbx formats).
  • IATE collections (targeted and complementary) – termbases that contain terms closely related to the procedure or package or serve as background information (in .sdltb and .tbx formats).

For consultation purposes, TermCoord also provides the above mentioned termbases in Excel format:
