Short presentation of the project

Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, worked with five students of the Postgraduate Course for Translators and Terminologists in Economics and Law at the Department of Translation and Interpreting, Faculty of Humanities, on a terminology project in the fields of human rights, election law, finance and disability. The students completed their task in July 2017.

Project Coordinator

Dóra Mária Tamás

Dóra Mária Tamás, Senior Lecturer since 2015, specialises in teaching terminology theory, terminology practice related to the terminology of economy and law, language technology, translation together with conference and court interpreting. She gained her PhD from Eötvös Loránd University in 2011, analysing terminology issues related to the translation of texts of economy, terminology databases and harmonisation of terminology. She teaches primarily on the Postgraduate Course for Translators and Terminologists in Economics and Law launched in 2016 as a distance e-learning course. Apart from teaching, she worked in the past as a translator, court interpreter and has been working for 5 years as a terminologist specialised in law for the National Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd in Budapest.
