DU Fondements et enjeux de la terminologie – Université Savoie Mont Blanc

DU-Terminologie

Terminology plays a major role in the globalised world. Effective communication and collaboration in any field is only possible with fixed and shared terms. Currently, there is a need of terminology specialists who are capable of undertaking such normalisation work.

The Diplôme d’Université Fondements et enjeux de la terminologie (University Degree in Foundations and Challenges of Terminology) is the first university course designed to equip a wide range of professionals with the skills to:

  • organise technical communication
  • manage and define concepts and terms
  • contribute to the management of multilingualism

The course consists of 2 compulsory blocks and 112 hours of teaching held between January and June 2022. The classes will be held either in English or in French, depending on the demand of the participants. You can access the theses of the course participants on our Theses and Papers page.

The experienced teaching staff includes experts from the Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament, the AFNOR, the University of Savoie-Mont Blanc, the University of Grenoble Alpes and the NOVA University of Lisbon.

You can consult the full 2022 programme of the course in English. Alternatively, you can access the programme in French. For more information, visit the course page of the University of Savoie-Mont Blanc.

Registration is open until November 2021 and is available both in English and in French.
