“IATE goes AUDIO” provides short audio clips in different languages explaining “IATE Terms of the Week” in a clear and concise manner. The aim of this initiative is to make IATE terminology accessible to a wider audience and to give a multilingual dimension to the “IATE Term of the Week”.
Termcoord would like to invite you to participate in this project by explaining a “IATE Term of the Week” in your own mother tongue and record a short audio of less than a minute.
If you wish to contribute to this project, please send us your recording. We will check and upload it, if it fulfils all criteria. You can record yourself with any device but it has to be of good quality and the entire audio must be easily understandable.
We would be pleased to hear your recordings on our “IATE Terms of the Week”!

This series of interviews is a collaboration between TermCoord and Translation and Interpreting students at the Pablo de Olavide University in Spain. TermCoord interviews Translation and Interpreting students about their thoughts and experiences around language, culture, and translation. Interviewees are supervised by Dr Olga Koreneva, specialised translator and interpreter and lecturer in the faculty of Translation and Interpreting in German at the Pablo de Olavide University.
The interviews are mostly in German, but also in English. English transcripts have now been made available for each interview.
