Short presentation of the project
The objective of this project is twofold. First, we aim MA students to deal with terminological databases: creation, storage, and use for professional purposes. Second, we aim to get them familiarized with under-represented domains of specialization such as smart materials, cyberspace, mobility, epigenetics, and language acquisition. The students are expected to co-work in teams of 3 or 4 people each. Special attention will be paid to the bibliographical sources from where the terms are extracted. Working with printed sources and peer-review scientific journals will be encouraged as a quality factor.
The University of Upper Alsace’s TermCoord’s project is to be carried by 15 students at their first year of MA degree in Technical & Scientific Translations plus 4 Erasmus students coming from other countries.
