Every now and then TermCoord publishes a new interview with a well-known terminologist. This time it is all about Federica Scarpa, a full Professor of English Language and Translation at the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT) of the University of Trieste, where she teaches Specialised Translation.

Read our interview with Federica Scarpa here.

Scarpa has published extensively on specialised translation (her book La traduzione specializzata, Hoepli, Milan, is now in its second edition) with a particular focus on legal translation, corpora-based Translation Studies in the specialist domains of IT, migration studies, medicine and law, and on a professional approach to translator training, founded both on an ethics of translation as service and on the synergies that should exist between academia and the translation industry in order to raise the translator’s professional profile.

And remember that you can also find all the interviews we have published before at this link.
